WhaleStats says that after that, some high-ranking Ethereum whales started buying large quantities from MATIC. Also, MATIC has become one of the most popular smart contracts on the Ethereum chain.

WhaleStats shared the details of two MATIC purchases worth $1,135,264 and $1,430,274. Whales named “Bonobo” and “BlueWhale0072” bought themselves 1,199,999 and 1,461,354 MATIC tokens. MATIC for BlueWhale0072 now accounts for 3.15 percent of the portfolio. The whale “Bonobo” also grabbed 199,999 coins on MATIC. That’s the equivalent of $1,347,999. Then he bought some APE. This whale ranks 5th among the top 100 Ethereum investors.

WhaleStats also reported that MATIC is currently on the list of top ten cryptocurrencies with high trading volume. The token ranks 6th after FTX Token. At the time of writing, Polygon’s native token MATIC is trading at $0.931, down 2.90 percent.

SHIB and LINK are also in the focus of whales

According to WhaleStats’ next report, SHIB remains the coin whose whales still place the highest bets. Currently, this cryptocurrency tops the list of top ten assets held by these investors. On this list, Shiba Inu has outstripped other popular altcoins such as MATIC, LINK, and MANA, which rank among the top investments by ETH whales. WhaleStats says the addresses of Ethereum whales contain a total of $646,310,721 worth of Shiba Inu. In terms of this metric, he notes that the second largest meme coin ranks first in the top ten asset list.

Other altcoins are behind Shiba, including the top-rated MATIC, MANA, and LINK. Whales are holding $140,143,669 coins on MATIC, $127,079,523 on MANA, and $112,672,798 on LINK. According to Whale Stats, MANA is currently the most widely held token among whales on the Ethereum chain. SHIB, on the other hand, is the largest token by US dollar value.

The same source reported that earlier today, the two whales received approximately $3 million worth of LINK together. The whale named “BlueWhale0088” bought 159,866 LINK for $1,269,340. At the same time, the investor “BlueWhale0079”, who was seen to speculate on large amounts of Shiba Inu, added a total of 199,999 LINK to his wallet. He paid more than $1.5 million for it. LINK ranks 10th in the list of assets of ETH whales.
