In the last year and a half, an increase in the Turkish population, which owns crypto money, has increased from 40 percent to 52 percent. According to the survey, 58 percent of respondents said their “main reason” for investing in cryptocurrency was “to accumulate wealth in the long run,” while 37 percent describe it as protecting the value of money. As expected, the crypto money that the investor mass in Turkey attaches the most importance to was BTC. 71 percent of investors say they own BTC, while 45 percent own ETH and other stablecoins.
While men are still more likely to invest in crypto, young women in Turkey are increasingly investing. 47 percent of crypto investors aged 18-30 are women. One of the most striking data about the report is that 57 percent of the people who decide to invest are inspired by factors such as environment, friends and family.
