7 Companies Together with Samsung Take Action to Establish a Crypto Exchange

Along with Samsung, 7 South Korean-based companies are laying the foundation for their own cryptocurrency exchanges.

Companies have applied to establish a digital asset exchange.

Among the companies, only the names of Samsung Securities and Mirae Asset Securities were included. As NewPim reports, Mirae has set up a subsidiary within Mirae Consulting that trains technical personnel for cryptocurrencies and NFTs, while Samsung has begun researching how to enter the blockchain-based assets market. The same newspaper had previously highlighted that Samsung is having difficulty finding staff for its crypto trading platform.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-Yeol, who took office in May, promised to be friendly to the crypto industry and develop new projects. However, the collapse of the Terra platform caused the South Korean authorities to be alarmed. Authorities raided some cryptocurrency exchanges.

NewsPim stated that traditional firms’ desire to enter crypto has developed in parallel with Suk-Yeol’s relaxation of regulations.

Under the administration of Moon Jae-In, the former president of South Korea, authorities were operating to regulate the industry.
