“In line with its main objective of price stability, the CBRT will resolutely continue to use all the tools at its disposal until strong indicators point to a permanent decline in inflation and the medium-term 5 percent target is achieved. The CBRT will implement the Liraization Strategy in order to establish an institutional basis for permanent and sustainable price stability. The stability in the general level of prices will support macroeconomic stability and financial stability through the decline in the country risk premium, the return in currency substitution, the continuation of the upward trend in foreign exchange reserves and the permanent decrease in financing costs. This will create a suitable basis for investment, production and employment to continue growing in a healthy and sustainable manner.”
