Elon Musk Reacts to Cryptocurrency Scams

Tesla CEO Elon Musk reacted to the deepfake* video allegedly supporting a fake crypto money project. In a recent tweet, the Tesla CEO stated that the person in the video is “definitely” not himself.

The fake video that went viral on Twitter earlier this week aims to lure investors into investing in a trading platform that offers 30% returns on crypto deposits. Many Dogecoin fans realized that there was a problem due to the poor quality of the video, claiming that Musk’s voice was robotic and incomprehensible. “This is a terrible deepfake video,” one Twitter user tweeted.

Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus stated that those who are stupid enough to fall for such a scam deserve to part ways with their money.

*Deepfake is, according to Wikipedia, a description of the person featured in an existing video using artificial neural networks. It is a type of content in which the image of another person is replaced. In this way, anyone can be made to do and say things that they have never actually done or said. Creating high-quality clones increases the cost. They are usually created with the help of a contentious generator network (GAN).
