The project itself is quite ambitious: In addition to Mars, the United States relies on the support of the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), backed by one of the most relevant companies in the crypto industry, Ripple. The experiment could potentially be useful for different research fields such as 3D Modeling, VR, AR, distance education and psychology studies.
Radio Caca wants to build an open metaverse for universities
Radio Caca CEO Jeff Watney says the platform’s purpose is for universities and content creators to “focus on user freedom” “They can create an open metadatabase,” he said. He said it is a great honor for them to be able to create “new experiences that can unlock the full potential of Web3” together with the University of São Paulo.

This new metaverse itself could prove very beneficial for students and professors if adopted, as Radio Caca has a large community and support from renowned companies such as OKX Blockdream Ventures, ConsenSys Mesh’s Tachyon accelerator, and its new partner Ripple Labs inc.
