Voxie Tactics is a polygon-based tactical RPG and its native cryptocurrency is VOXEL. Players battle to level up their Voxie characters as they earn, trade, and craft item NFTs.
What is Voxie Tactics?
Blockchain video games have proven to be popular pillars in the crypto ecosystem. Users are attracted by both the gameplay and the possible monetary benefits of the economies earned by playing. Released in 2021, Voxie Tactics offers an “easy to pick up, but hard to master” experience for fans of the genre. The game has a wide variety of NFTs, mechanics and ways to earn for potential players to explore.
Voxie Tactics is a polygon-based role-playing game inspired by classic tactics games of the 90s and 2000s. The team has developed a more modern experience by updating the old-timey game mechanics to suit contemporary preferences and expectations.
The game currently has three main game modes and one is under development:
- PvP Fighting: This feature takes place in arenas and uses turn-based combat in a 3D environment. Players must meet certain conditions, such as defeating all their enemies, to earn VOXEL.
- PvE Mode: This is a special feature used for special events. The Dragonfest event currently in progress creates an epic adventure where the goal is to defeat the Bone Dragon to win VOXEL.
- Discovery:It is a story driven experience where players can navigate the world of Voxie Tactics and engage in player-environment (PVE) combat.
Besides these, there are a variety of complementary RPG-style gameplay mechanics such as forging, leveling up, and pets. Voxie Tactics uses NFTs to represent in-game assets and Voxie characters. Players can also sell them on the market for the game’s native service token, VOXEL.
What is VOXEL?
VOXEL is an ERC-20 utility token that functions as the official cryptocurrency of Voxie Tactic. It has a total supply of 300 million tokens, of which 105 million are currently available. VOXEL supports all operations in Voxie Tactics, including new assets and upgrades with extra in-game value.
Players can use the coin to purchase services such as in-game consumables and Voxie rentals, and to pay recipe fees at The Arcanist’s Forge. Players can also use VOXEL to burn unused NFTs and create new items with different stats. There are even physical items that players can purchase with their VOXEL Chinese.
Players earn VOXEL by winning Extreme or Draft arena player versus player (PVP) battles. The amount of VOXEL gained depends on the rarity of the Voxies used in the fight. Players have a higher chance of gaining significant amounts of VOXEL or even rare NFTs when using rarer Voxies. You can see the full distribution of VOXEL over a five-year period in the table below.
What Are Voxie Tactics NFTs?
NFTs represent unique items and characters found in the world of Voxie Tactics. These fall into two main categories:
- Voxie character NFTs:There are 10 thousand genesis Voxie characters belonging to 20 classes, 10 races and 20 companion types with a wide variety of physical characteristics.
- NFT elements:These include multiple weapons, armor pieces, available equipment and cosmetic upgrades.
Players can also rent Voxie Tactics in-game asset NFTs and Voxie character NFTs for NFT and VOXEL rewards. As mentioned earlier, players can create new items with different stats by burning unused NFTs (after paying a VOXEL fee). More than 60 percent of all items have already been burned and upgraded, indicating a deflationary side of the NFT market.
Voxie Tactics rewarded the first Voxie NFT supporters with weekly VOXEL shares for 24 weeks. Shown in a snapshot of public ownership, NFT holders have airdropped VOXEL to their wallets based on their NFT rarity multiplier.
