Supporters of Donald Trump have a unique opportunity to receive official TRUMP tokens as a reward for their loyalty. Those who have purchased merchandise from websites affiliated with the former U.S. president will be eligible to claim these tokens. Specifically, buyers will receive three TRUMP tokens, valued at just over $50 at the time of this writing, for each unique email address used during their transactions.
The deadline to claim these tokens is set for March 1, making it essential for eligible individuals to act quickly. The merchandise sold on Trump-associated websites often includes products that are heavily branded with his image and catchphrases, which tend to command high prices in the marketplace. For instance, in July, limited edition Trump-themed Bitcoin Sneakers were available for around $500 per pair, with some listings on resale platforms reaching an astounding $2,500.
As of now, the TRUMP token has experienced a decline of 8% in the last 24 hours, mirroring trends in the broader cryptocurrency market. The official TRUMP tokens were launched just days before Trump’s inauguration on January 20, marking him as the first sitting president associated with a memecoin. Initially, the token surged from a few dollars at its issuance to a peak of over $75, achieving a remarkable valuation of $13 billion.
However, a series of sell-offs, coupled with a generally declining crypto market and growing concerns regarding the distribution of TRUMP tokens, have significantly impacted its price. As a result, the token has seen a dramatic drop, falling more than 75% from its all-time highs in recent weeks.
