Answering the questions of his followers in his question and answer video on his Youtube channel yesterday, Andreas Antonopoulos answered the question of whether Bitcoin, known as ‘digital gold’ by crypto circles, would become a reserve currency in the future. Emphasizing that Bitcoin can do ‘beyond gold’, Antonopoulos, however, said that there is only a low probability that there will be only one reserve currency in the future. According to the author of the book ‘Mastering Bitcoin’, the existing ecosystem of crypto currencies will continue to develop with their own use.
Stating that Bitcoin is like a gold, it is a better alternative than gold because it is much easier to move and its verification and fragments, it will make Bitcoin a ‘superior’ value store in the coming years.
The 47 -year -old writer, who thinks that the world’s reserve currency idea is outdated, finds the idea that at least Bitcoin or something ‘something else’ is the only one:
“I think this (Bitcoin) will be one of the many reserve currencies that can be used to value other things. It doesn’t have to be only one reserve currency anymore. “
According to Antonopoulos, who explains the reason why many countries are connected to only one currency with the difficulty of change/swap between the money, crypto currencies have already solved this problem and people will be able to switch quickly from one currency to another depending on the future usage areas.
