Coinbase, the largest US cryptocurrency exchange, plans to strengthen its presence in Europe.
In a blog post published by Coinbase, it was stated that the platform wants to expand to Spain, Italy and France.
Coinbase recently laid off about 1,100 employees. Earlier in the week, Goldman Sachs downgraded Coinbase, and the company’s share target fell to $45. The banking giant predicts that Coinbase will have to lay off more people due to current market conditions.
Bitcoin slumped as low as $17,600 recently and recorded its worst quarter in a decade.
Despite all these conditions, Coinbase has taken action to expand in Europe. Previously, Coinbase started operating in the United Kingdom at a time when the crypto market was in trouble and saw the benefit of this in the future.
