Ripple has hired two lawyers to strengthen its legal team.
Kylie Chiseul and Clayton J. Masterman, who are part of Ripple, will play a role in the company’s legal action against the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Judge Analisa Torres passed motions to allow newly hired lawyers to take part in the case.
The inclusion of new lawyers indicates that legal proceedings may take longer.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated that if the court decides in favor of the SEC, the company will leave the USA.
Garlinghouse stated that Ripple has shifted its focus to other markets and they are already acting as if the case has been lost.
Ripple Labs consultant Stuart Alderoty said he expects the final decision in the case to come in 2023.
