France-based bank BNP Paribas will partner with crypto infrastructure firm Metaco for crypto custody purposes.
BNP Paribas Securities Services, the custody subsidiary of BNP Paribas, currently holds over $12 trillion in assets.
Important actors of the traditional financial world continue to be involved in the crypto sector. In recent months, many Swiss-based organizations have also formed important partnerships to develop a digital asset custody platform.
Citigroup partnered with Metaco last month to develop its digital asset custody platform. This partnership allows the bank to explore blockchain-based custody capabilities for tokenized securities such as stocks and bonds.
Another company that partnered with Metaco was the French credit institution Societe Generale.
