Work In Progress On Cardano’s Vasil Hard Fork

According to the report prepared by IOG, work continues on the Vasil Hard Fork.

According to IOG’s statement, Cardano teams have released a new node v.1.35.3-rc1 to test Vasil on devnet.

According to the shared information, a special pre-production environment has been prepared for the final stages of Vasil’s functionality testing. The new environment will provide a better developer experience, and developers will encourage SPOs and exchanges to use this environment.

On July 3rd, the IOG team forked Cardano tesnet to include Vasil functionality. After the announcement of the Testnet hard fork, the development process continued with the first node v.1.35.0. After the bugs on the node were noticed, the IOG teams focused on v.1.35.1 and v.1.35.2 nodes.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson mentioned the new node v.1.35.3 while commenting on the Vasil hard fork. Hoskinson stated that he does not expect a delay for the hard fork unless a new problem arises.

In its weekly development report, IOG has also released new statistics regarding the Cardano network. According to the report, while 1048 projects are currently being built on the Cardano network, 93 new projects have been launched.
