The New York City Museum has filed several Web3-focused patent applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
New York City Museum to Exhibit NFT
Founded in 1923, the museum aims to offer downloadable collections of cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and various application tokens.
Paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, photographs and theater are exhibited in the museum. NFTs will also join the museum’s inventory.
The collections in the museum also highlight the cultural and economic importance of New York.
After the NFT boom last year, many institutions and organizations took action for NFT collections.
Belvedere museum in Vienna has released the NFT of Australian artist Gustav Klimt’s famous painting “The Kiss” before Valentine’s Day.
In September of last year, the British Museum entered the NFT sector by partnering with LaCollection.
