Multi chain DEX collector KyberSwap announced that $265,000 of user funds were stolen by exploiting a front-end vulnerability. The company announced on its Twitter account that the stolen funds will be refunded to users. In addition, he announced that he will give a 15 percent reward if all of the funds are paid back by hackers.

The code breach was reported at approximately 9.30am Turkey time.

Making a statement about the front end code vulnerability, KyberSwap said in the statement:

“We have identified malicious code in our Google Tag Manager (GTM) that inserts a false confirmation and allows a hacker to transfer a user’s money to their address. This attack was carried out with great delicacy and large whale calculations were targeted.”

KyberSwap, another hacking name in the DeFi world after Curve Finance, stated that their project has been hacked for the first time in five years. The company also stated that the source of the attack was found and the error was fixed.
