Europeans Chased SHIB and These Altcoins!

A recently published study showed that the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Shiba Inu (SHIB) and smart contract platform Cardano (ADA) are among the most popular cryptocurrencies in Europe. The research showed that these two are among the “most used on Google” cryptocurrencies. It also revealed that it outperforms competitors with larger market caps.

SHIB and ADA become the most sought-after cryptos in Europe

As it is known, the largest cryptocurrencies by market value are Ethereum (ETH), BNB (BNB) and XRP (XRP). However, these were not the five most searched cryptocurrencies on Google across Europe. A study conducted by AskGamblers showed that Bitcoin is the most sought-after cryptocurrency in Europe. It also revealed that 21 countries are looking for BTC more than any other cryptocurrency. These are Germany, Poland and Belgium.

But the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Shiba Inu (SHIB) took second place, with seven countries searching for it more than any other digital asset. SHIB’s leadership came in countries such as England, Russia, France and Italy. Last year, the Shiba Inu was the third most used cryptocurrency on Google, lagging behind both Bitcoin and Ethereum, according to a different study. The study was based on the average monthly services leading a country’s searches.

ETH, ADA and DOGE are also popular

Ethereum ranked third, with four countries making it the third most sought-after cryptocurrency. Cardano (ADA); It ranked fourth in the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Andorra. The study also revealed that Dogecoin (DOGE) is the fifth most sought-after cryptocurrency in Europe, with leading searches in both Greece and Albania. Notably, neither BNB nor XRP led searches in a single country in Europe.

The study was conducted using data from Google Trends, which does not show specific search numbers, but provides an index that shows interest in specific search topics and allows users to evaluate their popularity relative to other searches.
