JPMorgan is seeking a new business development professional to expand its reach in the crypto industry.
Wall Street giant JPMorgan has sought to expand in the crypto market and target new customers in the web3, metaverse and crypto.
JPMorgan Wants to Be More Active in the Crypto Industry
Wall Street giant, which also provides banking services for the USA’s largest crypto exchange Coinbase, stated in an advertisement on LinkedIn that it is looking for a business development specialist who can work on web3, crypto and metaverse for the payment department.
JPMorgan began working with Coinbase and Gemini exchanges in 2020. The company later announced that it had opened a branch in Decentraland.
The hired name will be responsible for working with new institutional clients for a wide range of payment products, including transactional FX, treasury services.
Another banking giant, Citigroup, was also looking to hire a head of risk management last January to help craft its own strategic moves for crypto services.
According to Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley, these postings do not mean that the bank has made a rapid entry into the crypto industry.
