Near Foundation is establishing a Web3 center in Vietnam in collaboration with venture capital fund GFS Ventures.
Vietnam actively promotes digital transformation and development and also ranks fifth out of 154 countries in the Global Cryptocurrency Acceptance Index. When it comes to crypto ownership percentage, one-fifth of people in the country own crypto. For these reasons, it is a country that succeeds in attracting companies such as the Near Foundation.
Near Foundation Will Develop Blockchain Technology
GFS Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on blockchain, decentralized finance, Web3 and NFTs, will lead the establishment of the center together with VBI, a research institute specializing in education, research and blockchain technology development.
Blockchain developer community created with Near Foundation, GFS Ventures and VBI will be built in major cities of various regions including Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh.
Nearly 60 developers will be trained each month through courses. In addition, international Blockchain hackathon competitions will be held with mutual funds held biannually to keep developers active and moving forward.
