The US Treasury sanctioned wallets belonging to Task Force Rusich, allegedly with neo-Nazi connections.
The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has sanctioned the wallets of Task Force Rusich, a neo-Nazi-linked Russian organization that is a sabotage group working to finance attacks on Ukraine.
US Treasury Maintains Sanctions
The ministry continues to impose sanctions on various crypto wallets. The following statements were included in the statement:
“As a result of today’s action, all property of the persons listed above in the USA or under their control has been blocked”
After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the US and EU countries imposed many sanctions to cut off the country’s financial resources. According to OFAC, Russia is looking for new ways to continue operations.
The ministry will also prohibit all transactions involving the property or interests of designated persons without OFAC’s express license.
OFAC stated that the group called Task Force Rusich supported the Russian troops in the Donbas region of Ukraine. According to the report, this Task Force Rusich was accused of committing atrocities against dead and captured Ukrainian soldiers.
