Australia’s first crypto ETFs are expected to launch on Thursday after a two-week delay.
Australia is set to list three Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs on the Cboe exchange on Thursday. The Cosmos Purpose Bitcoin Access ETF, ETFS 21Shares Bitcoin ETF and ETFS 21Shares Ethereum ETF were scheduled to begin trading on April 27, following approval from Australia’s market regulator ASX Clear. However, the listing had to be postponed to May 12 due to the broker’s biased attitude towards the crypto-asset market.
SEC Continues to Reject
Australia joins other countries like Canada and Switzerland by launching their first crypto ETF, while US spot Bitcoin ETF continues to delay or reject their applications. On the other hand, several Bitcoin futures ETFs are currently trading in the US.
