AK Party Group Deputy Chairmen Mustafa Elitaş and Mahir Ünal met with the representatives of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Capital Markets Board (SPK) and experts in the Turkish Grand National Assembly regarding the regulation of crypto money. At the meeting, the opinions and suggestions of the industry on cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin were discussed. It was stated that examinations were made on the previously prepared draft text and opinions were expressed.

Elitaş had previously met with stock market representatives. Elitaş said the following in his statement after the meeting:

“What we want to do is to reveal a regulatory legal regulation, not a prohibitive one. Our aim is to prevent the victimization of people who enter the market, people who want to invest here, people who try to invest their savings in crypto assets.”
