Uniswap, one of the largest decentralized exchanges (DEX), states in its new privacy policy that DEX collects certain on-chain and off-chain data linked to users’ crypto wallets.

It has been clarified that public on-chain data is analyzed to help make informed decisions. As for off-chain data, Uniswap claimed that it does not collect sensitive personal data such as names, emails or IP addresses.
“Our first priority is to protect user data and privacy, but we want to make data-driven decisions that improve the user experience,” Uniswap said in a statement. This includes public on-chain data and device type, browser version, etc. It includes limited off-chain data such as said.
According to the privacy policy of the exchange, data from the exchange and other “third-party service providers” will be collected about users’ mobile device identity, cookies, information from local storage, operating system, device or browser language. Uniswap said such information can be used to remember which tokens users have imported and to learn about their preferences and interactions.
