Shiba Inu developer Shytoshi Kusama said that its layer-2 solution, Shibarium, will enter beta phase soon.
Addressing users via the Telegram channel, Kusama avoided giving a date for the beta.

While the Shiba Inu community is excited about the layer 2 solution, there is also disappointment due to the exaggerated countdown announcement earlier.
The Shiba Inu team recently announced a “special countdown” and it turned out to be more of a site upgrade than a big announcement.
It is not clear when beta testing will begin for Shibarium. Kusama did not specify a date in his statement.
A layer 2 solution on the blockchain is a way to increase the scalability of a blockchain network by removing some of the transaction load and associated data storage from the main chain, allowing transactions to occur faster. First announced in May 2021, Shibarium is expected to launch in early 2023.
