Beşiktaş President Ahmet Nur Çebi spoke about fan tokens at the press conference.
Cebi stated that fan tokens have been on the agenda lately and that clubs do not make as much money as they think. Çebi said:
“The token event has been on the agenda lately, but if you thought that other clubs were making big money here, you would be wrong. I delegated these tasks to my friends. My friends did the necessary work and brought it to me. They have done their duty. If the capital of the firm that made the offer to you is 50 liras, I would say ‘Stop’. If the company that has brought this offer to you has not guaranteed the offer, it will also wait.”
Çebi said that the offers regarding fan tokens were not accepted because he thought they would not contribute to Beşiktaş, and used the following expressions:
I scrutinize and scrutinize the possibility of the fans being victimized because I see little possibilities of providing support. Also, if this job is a very good job, it still stands. We did well to wait. Instead of 1 lira, offers of 10 liras are coming. Beşiktaş did not suffer in this regard. We need to handle the token thing in a way that doesn’t hurt the fans.”
