Binance Joins ACSS to Comply with Global Sanctions

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has joined ACSS to comply with global sanctions.

The exchange had previously faced US investigation for violating sanctions against Russia and Iran.

Binance Continues Compatibility Studies

Binance has become one of the first crypto companies to join the Association of Certified Enforcement Professionals (ACSS) to comply with global sanctions.

The exchange said in an announcement today that its team of enforcement compliance personnel will undergo training as part of the certification process in ACSS.

Chagri Poyraz, the company’s head of global sanctions, said:

“The blockchain industry is still in its early years and in a rapidly evolving field and maintaining the highest level of compliance is our top priority.
At the end of the day, we want to continue to set the industry standard for security and compliance with other industry leaders.”

According to the company, ACSS training will train the exchange’s team on the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control’s guidelines and inform them of potential breach risks.

The company joined crypto lobbying group Digital Chamber of Commerce last month as part of efforts to advocate for regulatory clarity in the US.
