Do Kwon Changes Terra Plan During Voting

Terraform CEO Do Kwon made some changes to the plan while the Terra rescue plan was being voted on. The changes made during the voting drew a reaction.

Do Kwon made some changes to the plan amid an ongoing vote on whether to implement the plan for Terra’s rescue proposed by him. As we reported earlier, Kwon proposed a fork of Terra from the old network and submitted it to a vote among LUNA owners.

The first of the changes was in the rate of distribution of new LUNA tokens to UST holders. Accordingly, when UST is stabilized, the proportion of new LUNA tokens distributed to those who have staked their UST on Anchor has been reduced from 20% to 15%.

The second took place in two stakeholder categories vesting programs that will receive new LUNA tokens. According to this change, the initial unlock rate in the distribution of new tokens was increased from 15% to 30%. It was stated that the remaining 70% will be locked with a two-year vesting program.

It is not uncommon for a proposal to be amended during voting. That’s why some community members on Terra reacted to the change in question. One of them, FatMan, Terra analyst and commentator, used the following statements on the subject:

“How can you make significant changes to a proposal *mid-voting* when most people have already voted (for the original document)?”
