In a recent tweet, Billy Markus said that the most cunning way to turn moderates into Democrats or Republicans is that both sides are against moderates. He stated that he was being rude. Billy didn’t share his personal opinion of whatever political divide he was leaning towards, but the tweet was viewed as a clever post by someone who might otherwise have been dismissed as a big “poster of scumbags by wigs.” But Amazon’s Jeff Bezos’ response on this matter was not delayed.

Jeff Bezos, Billy Markus He replied to his tweet soon after, admitting that although Billy often calls himself a “scumbag poster,” he doesn’t look like it when he tweets clever things. Jeff referred to Billy Markus, calling him “wise”.

From an optimistic point of view, this new “brotherhood” between Bezos and DOGE’s creator might make sense. If Bezos refers to Billy as wise and Billy is the founder of Dogecoin, does that mean Jeff Bezos is a DOGE fan? Time will tell if the duo will continue to talk and whether the conversation will touch DOGE.
Jeff Bezos’ thoughts on cryptocurrencies
Bezos retired from Amazon last year due to threats from Congress. So far, Bezos has not given any indication that he owns crypto. Meanwhile, an amazon spokesperson said in January:
Despite our interest, the speculations that have surfaced around our specific plans for cryptocurrencies are not true. We remain focused on exploring what this might look like for customers shopping on Amazon.
