Crypto exchange Binance continues its support for earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş and the surrounding provinces.
The great earthquakes that took place in Kahramanmaraş and the surrounding provinces mobilized the whole country. While national mourning is declared throughout the country, aid and donations by the people continue. In addition to the intensive search and rescue efforts, intensive work is spent to meet the needs in the earthquake area. One of those who reached out to the earthquake area was the crypto exchange Binance.
Binance Will Help Its Users in Earthquake Zone
Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, continues its support after the earthquake that took place in Kahramanmaraş and its surrounding provinces.
While a mobilization has been announced to meet the needs in the earthquake area, the aid from Binance continues. Binance will help its users in the earthquake zone under the name of $ 100 (1883 TL) airdrop.
Proof of Address (POA), which was completed before February 6 in 10 provinces where the earthquake had a significant impact, will be taken as the basis for the identification of users. Addresses; It will be held in Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Diyarbakır, Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, Malatya and Hatay.
The Exchange stated that the POA system may cause problems, but it is the most suitable method for address detection. In addition, Binance stated that the total donation could reach approximately $5 million (TL 94 million).
Binance Charity Collects Donations for Turkey
Binance Charity, the aid arm of the crypto exchange Binance, launched a donation campaign for the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and its surrounding provinces.
Speaking on the subject, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said;
“The recent earthquakes in Turkey have had a devastating effect on many people and communities. We hope our efforts will bring some relief to those affected. We invite our colleagues in the industry to come together once again to offer support in these times of crisis.”
The publicly launched Binance Charity has managed to raise over $3 million in donations. These donations will be sent to earthquake regions and used for needs.
