In the statement made by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), it was stated that an additional $85 million in aid will be provided to Turkey and Syria, which were affected by the worst earthquake to hit the region in nearly a century.

In the statement, it was stated that this resource was made in order to provide urgently needed aid to the people affected by the earthquake. USAID announced that its assistance includes the provision of food, drink, clothing, trauma support, health services, supplies for winter, and clean drinking water to earthquake victims.
