Ripple Donates to Turkey and Syria Due to Earthquakes

Ripple (XRP) stated that it will make donations to Turkey and Syria for the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş.

After two earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6 in Kahramanmaraş, the effects of the earthquake were also observed in the surrounding provinces. Millions of people were affected by the earthquakes, in which the whole country was mobilized and aid came from the world. The earthquakes affecting Turkey and Syria continue to receive donations from the crypto industry. Finally, Ripple stated that it has donated an earthquake donation of 1 million dollars to Turkey and Syria.

Ripple Donates Earthquake to Turkey and Syria

Ripple has committed to donate $1 million to Turkey and Syria, which were affected by the earthquakes. This donation is made to support NGOs and to deliver the necessary aid to the earthquake area.

Ripple stated that it will donate $250,000 as a company, and the remaining $750k will be provided through their own fundraiser. The company thus secured a donation commitment of at least $1 million.

Ripple’s donation campaign will be like the BTCTurk system. Ripple will also provide support at a rate of one-two for each donation to the fundraiser.

Announcing its donations on Twitter, Ripple stated that this fund will support four NGOs. The fund will provide emergency cash, household items, products for women and girls, hygiene items and more. These aids will be sent to Turkey and Syria. The NGOs that Ripple will support will be The International Rescue Committee, Mercy Corps, World Central Kitchen, CARE.
