Ethereum ICO’s Wallet Comes Back to Life After 8 Years
The wallet, which participated in the $ 15 million Ethereum ICO, became active again after eight years. ICO participant started to consolidate their funds in a single wallet. Similar movements have occurred in other wallets in the last six months.
An idle wallet that bought 8,000 Ethereum (i.e. currently approximately $14.8 million) at the Ethereum ICO in 2015 woke up and transferred its funds to another address. In this case, noticed by on-chain analyst Lookonchain, the wallet first made a test transaction with 1 Ethereum and sent the remaining 7,999 Ethereum to the new address.
When this person participated in the Ethereum ICO or first coin offering, he had purchased the funds for around $0.31 per token, or just under $2,500 in total. This means that the owner has a return on investment of 591,900 percent at current prices.
The funds were then moved to another wallet with limited transaction history. The only other transaction made on this wallet was a login transaction worth 207 Ethereum (approximately $380,000) that took place a few minutes ago. These funds were sent to a different wallet that has been inactive since 2017.
