President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that they will implement the new generation Digital Turkish Lira project.
As the May 14 elections are approaching, the preparations of the politicians for the elections continue at full speed. Election declarations containing what will be done for the new term are included in the election preparations.
The AK Party, which organizes the Parliamentary Candidate Promotion Meeting today, talked about the election declaration and its candidates at this meeting. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan talked about the Digital Turkish Lira project in his statements today.
AK Party’s Election Preparation: Digital Turkish Lira Project
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also mentioned that the Digital Turkish Lira project will be implemented as part of the election activities. Erdogan, who has been on this subject for a while, expressed his views on the “Digital Turkish Lira” at the candidate promotion meeting he held today;
Previous studies were carried out on the digital Turkish lira. The CBRT reported that the test work on the digital Turkish lira was carried out successfully and the project development would continue.
Other details in the AK Party’s election manifesto are as follows;
- “With our Project on the Use of Blockchain in Exports, we will ensure that all customs and logistics processes in export transactions are carried out and monitored on a single screen in electronic environment by all stakeholders with a blockchain infrastructure, and we will make customs transactions faster, easier and more effective, and monitored through new technologies.”
- “We started blockchain research with the cooperation of the public and private sectors. We created two crypto assets to be used for commercial transactions and a crypto wallet for their use and storage. In addition, we have provided e-Government integration with digital identities and digital identities and wallets created for their storage and use over the blockchain.”
- “With our Artificial Intelligence Strategy, we will increase the contribution of artificial intelligence to GDP above 5 percent, employ 50,000 people in this field, reach 10,000 graduates at the graduate level, and ensure that Turkey is among the top 20 countries in the artificial intelligence indexes of international organizations. ”
- With the engagement of our vision project TOGG, we will ensure the transition to low-emission vehicles and alternative fuel (electric, e-fuel, etc.) vehicles in road transport, as well as to shared and autonomous vehicles.
