According to a new announcement, Doritos plans to run NFT on the Polygon network. The chips maker recently launched a metaverse experience on Decentraland. The company keeps Dorito Triangle Metaverse Studio open to the world. The event started on February 8 and will continue until the 10th.
With the event held on Decentraland, according to the announcement made by Doritos on its official Twitter account, Polygon (MATIC) was preferred for the new NFTs. Decentraland will be favored for its metaverse experience, while Polygon will play a leading role in NFTs due to its low transactions.
The metaverse experience on Decentraland allows users to create their own NFT avatars to represent them in the game. Players can change the color of the costumes, hair, clothes and shoes, and also try on different accessories.
Also, after writing their names across their 3D avatars, they will begin their exploration tour of the metaverse. Based on the game points they collect, they have a chance to win one of two NFT avatars, including a mix of Takashi Murakami and Clone-X #12118 from RTFKT and Meebits #24 from Larva Labs.
