Amazon Studios will be making a series about the collapse of the FTX exchange.
AGBO, the television production company, will be responsible for the production of the documentary. The studio is led by American directors and producers Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo.
Amazon Will Tell About FTX
The series, whose production phase is planned to start in 2023, will consist of 8 episodes.
American writer, producer and director David Weil will write and produce the pilot episode of FTX. Weil, known for the Hunters series aired on Amazon Prime, will also serve as the executive producer of the series. Mike Larocca, who previously worked on The Gray Man, and Angela Russo-Otstot, who has worked on productions such as Cherry and Relic, will also take part in the production.
Jennifer Salke, president of Amazon Studios, stated that they could not think of better partners for the series, which will be broadcast on Amazon Prime.
FTX, which started its operations in 2019, experienced a great rise in a short time, but its collapse occurred at the same speed. FTX filed for bankruptcy as the company’s founder, Sam Bankman-Fried’s personal fortune slid from $26 billion to zero.
