Ava Labs Aims to Bring Gaming Companies to Web3

Avalanche Arcad3 promises to connect Web2 game makers with existing esports organizations, blockchain game guilds and Web3 game studios built on Avalanche. The program will present strategies on topics such as regulatory compliance, NFTs, prize pools, esports marketing and how in-game tokens can be implemented on the Blockchain. Web2 partners will also be able to learn how to enter crypto games more broadly and market to players who are wary of Web3 integrations.

Avalanche also announced that Arcad3 is joined by Japanese Metaverse and entertainment firms Gree and Gumi. This program aims to provide mentorship and support to studios and game developers who want to explore the potential of Blockchain games by collaborating with experienced Web3 firms.

Participants in Avalanche Arcad3 include games like Shrapnel, DeFi Kingdoms, Gunz, TSM’s Blitz gaming platform, and companies like 2dao3, Republic Crypto, and Avalaunch.

Eiji Araki, one of Gree’s directors, stated that they are excited to be a part of Ava Labs’ Arcad3 program. Araki stated that Gree focuses on Web3 games and it is important to collaborate with an experienced Web3 partner such as Ava Labs. No details have yet been released about Project Incursion, Gree’s first Web3 game.

The Avalanche Arcad3 program aims to help traditional game studios transition to the Web3 playground and explore these new technologies and trends.
