Blockchain game company Azra Games received a $15 million investment in the a16z-led start-up round.
The venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), where the projects it invests in, is closely followed, managed the 15 million dollar investment tour of the blockchain game company Azra Games. Companies such as NFX, Coinbase Ventures, Play Ventures and Franklin Templeton also participated in the tour. The company will use the funds to develop Project Arcanas, its first game, a sci-fi fantasy epic with fighting and role-playing game (RPG) elements.
The company was founded by Mark Otero, former general manager of video game giant Electronic Arts (EA). Jonathan Lai of a16z said:
