Charles Hoskinson confirms Vasil Testnet will launch on July 3, 2022

The Cardano (ADA) founder announced in his latest Youtube post, that Vasil tesnet will be released on July 3, 2022. This launch will be followed by a mainnet at the end of July. Hoskinson also noted that Vasil is the most complex hard fork Cardano has built since its inception. He added that the team delayed the mainnet launch of Vasil earlier this month because he couldn’t afford to make any mistakes like other crypto projects, especially Terra.

Ripple unlocks one billion XRP from Escrow

In line with its monthly token unlock initiative, the Ripple network has opened another one billion units of XRP from escrow. The two processes were completed at exactly the same time. The dollar value of 500 million XRP for two posts is approximately $329 million.

Meanwhile, Whale Alert reported that large amounts of XRP transactions were made between several crypto exchanges and unknown wallets before the locks were opened.

Colombian government will use XRPL Blockchain for land registry

Ripple partner Peersyst Technology, a Barcelona-based software development firm, announced the launch of Colombia’s first National Land Registry on top of the XRPL Blockchain, after a year of work.

The solution was implemented for the Colombian National Land Agency “AgenciaTierras”. However, it is based on the XRP stamp, which allows cryptocurrencies to be registered in XRPL and their authenticity verified with a QR code.
