Coinmarketcap reports that PEPE has a market cap of $143 million and a 24-hour trading volume of $155 million. Altcoin price hit $0.0000003678, up 274% on the day. At press time, the altcoin was trading at $0.0000003128, up about 81% on a daily basis.

Charlie, a well-known cryptocurrency enthusiast who previously predicted the popular meme coin Shiba Inu (SHIB) rally in 2020, recently claimed that “PEPE is the next Shiba Inu.” Charlie also said that perhaps PEPE could follow a similar trajectory as SHIB, adding that ‘in retrospect this is always clear’.

Scam alert from PeckShieldAlert

In the meantime, it is important to remember that it is commonplace for the cryptocurrency market, after the spectacularly debut altcoin projects, the emergence of other attempts for fraud. Noting this, crypto detective PeckShieldAlert warned against a fake Twitter account and Pepe Coin website. Blockchain security firm confirmed that the account (@pepecoineth_) is fake and the link “pepecoin.vip” is a phishing site.
