Binance CEO CZ warned his followers about a data leak via his Twitter account.
Changpeng Zhao, CEO of leading crypto asset trading platform Binance and one of the leading figures in the crypto world, said that threat intelligence teams have detected the personal information of more than 1 billion people. Stating that the team detected the sale of the said information on the dark web, CZ noted that they have increased security measures for users who could potentially be exposed to this threat.

CZ says the leaked data includes name, national identity, address, police and medical record information and is from an Asian country. Similarly, in the comments under the tweet, it was suggested that the country in question could be China or India due to the number of leaked data. Some media coverage and an anonymous post on an online forum also pointed to China for the data leak.
