Yi He, one of Binance’s co-founders, has become the head of Binance Labs, the company’s venture capital and investment arm.

Binance Labs is the venture capital and accelerator arm of Binance, managing a total of $7.5 billion in assets, comprised of more than 200 portfolio projects.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange said in a statement today that it has appointed Yi He, a “talented and ambitious person who will play a role in shaping the future of the industry,” to lead Binance Labs’ global strategies and operations.
Yi He used the following statements on the subject:
Binance emphasized that Yi He will continue his previous roles in customer support, corporate business, marketing, Binance Earn and Binance P2P, along with his role at Binance Labs.
Yi He was among the founding team that founded Binance in 2017. He has been serving as the company’s CMO ever since. Prior to the founding of Binance, Yi He worked as an executive at Yixia Technology, a China-based mobile video technology company. Yi He is also among the founders of the OKCoin exchange, which was founded in 2014.
