Binance Security Team Trying to Identify Suspects
The incident, which resulted in a front-end vulnerability on decentralized exchange KyberSwap and the theft of a total of $265,000 from two large wallets, shows that Binance’s security team narrowed the circle for two people who could be suspicious.
In a statement, KyberSwap announced that it would reward hackers with a 15 percent reward, or approximately 40 thousand dollars, if they returned all the money. In addition, the exchange also announced that the money of its users will be deposited back into their accounts.
In parallel with the hack, an independent investigation shows that Binance’s security team has identified two suspects who may be responsible for orchestrating the heist.

Binance CEO Chanpeng Zhao said in a statement on his Twitter account that the intelligence was shared with the KyberSwap team. Binance also announced that it has begun coordinating with law enforcement due to continued efforts to corner hackers from both sides.
