The parent company of the Bitboy Crypto brand removed Ben Armstrong from the brand, citing substance abuse and harm.

BitBoy and Ben Armstrong part ways

Ben Armstrong, known for the popular Web3 YouTube channel Bitboy Crypto, is no longer part of the brand. Hit network parent company BJ Investment Holdings said on Monday that Ben Armstrong has been removed from the brand due to substance abuse issues and the negative impact these issues have on the brand and employees.

The brand used the following statements in its statement:

“This difficult decision is the result of both helping Ben as he relapses into substance abuse and reconciling the emotional, physical and financial damage he has caused to the Hit network staff and the Bitboy Crypto community.”

The statement also expressed the hopes for the future of the Bitboy Crypto community by saying, “BitSquad deserves better and together we will achieve it.”

Ben Armstrong’s past is known to be contentious and colorful. Earlier this year, it was alleged that Armstrong not only harassed a lawyer who sued him for supporting the bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, but also walked out of a court hearing.

In an incident in April, Armstrong was prohibited from posting threatening Tweets against lawyer Adam Moskowitz and his firm’s clients. There was an interesting moment during the trial in Miami when Armstrong mispronounced Moskowitz’s name and asked the judge to pronounce it correctly.
