Cameron Winklevoss Escalates Controversy

Winklevoss, who wrote a letter to Silbert last week and shared it with the public, continued to increase the severity of his statements. Gemini co-founder said:

“I am writing to report that Gemini and its 340,000+ Earn users have been scammed by Genesis Global Capital LLC, in conjunction with its parent company, Digital Currency Group.”

Winkevoss recently accused Barry Silbert of stalling Gemini Earn users’ efforts to recover funds and allegedly stalling them using “malicious distraction tactics.”

Winklevoss additionally said that Silbert did not act to absorb the shock following the collapse of 3AC.

“Silbert recklessly gave credit to 3AC as 3AC used the assets for GrayScale’s NAV trade”

Cameron Winklevoss described it as an “iterative trade” that inflated the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust’s AUM. He also underlined that GrayScale is the sponsor of DCG.

“3AC was like a mule carrying assets between parties. As a result, Genesis took a huge risk.”

Winklevoss demanded Silbert’s dismissal, saying there was “no way forward” regarding control of the company.

DCG has not yet made a statement on the subject.
