The Vasil upgrade would normally take place in June. However, it was delayed many times due to technical problems.
Input Output highlighted that the Vasil hard fork will be the most significant upgrade ever, as it will significantly increase the capacity of the network. With the upgrade, Cardano developers will have the opportunity to implement much more complex decentralized applications.
Speaking live, Charles Hoskinson thanked the Cardano community for their patience and loyalty.
Cardano’s hard fork is named after the late Bulgarian mathematician Vasil Dabov, known as a Cardano supporter. The hard fork will be launched on Bulgaria’s independence day.
