The subject title of the next month meeting of the Commodity Term Trade Commission (CFTC) will be defi. The commission has been trying to take steps for a period.
CFTC is taking defi on the next month’s agenda
The Technology Advisory Committee, which operates within the commodity futures Trade Commission (CFTC), will discuss non -decentralized finance (defi), decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) and other issues at the July meeting.
The Committee will recently talk about a victory and returns in the Ooki Dao case. This case constitutes a precedent that other non -decentralized autonomous organizations can be held responsible for legal violations. At the meeting, CFTC’s decision in Ooki DAO case and the effects of this decision on the defi field will be discussed.
CFTC Technology Advisory Committee’s sponsor of the CFTC commissioner Christy Goldsmith Romero said in a statement that “decentralized finance (defi) models and issues such as the last Ooki Dao case of the commission will be discussed”.
The committee plans to meet on 18 July at the Washington DC center. At the meeting, it is planned to obtain information from experts on artificial intelligence, decentralized finance and other technology issues and to establish three sub -committees. These sub -committees will also include issues related to digital assets and blockchain technology.
