One of the most popular stablecoins Tether USD continues to come up frequently. Finally, Tether, the company behind Stablecoin, announced that it has no Chinese commercial papers. Tether said in a statement that it has reduced its commercial paper exposure by $4.7 billion since the beginning of this month.
Tether Announces It Has No Chinese Commercial Papers
Since its inception, Tether has never publicly denied being in Chinese commercial paper. In September 2021, he denied having commercial papers published by troubled Chinese real estate giant Evergrande. However, he later admitted to owning international commercial papers, but did not specify whether he had any exposure to Chinese commercial papers.
