Coinbase is working to fix wallet support for Ethereum staking withdrawals. However, Coinbase’s support made a statement on the subject.
Coinbase Stake Trying to Solve Ethereum Issue
Coinbase is working to fix wallet support for Ethereum staking withdrawals. However, the following statements were used in the statement made by Coinbase customer support:
“Our systems do not currently support deposits from external validators to Coinbase ETH addresses. Funds may be blocked until we support these transactions.”
After the Shapella upgrade went live last month, many Ethereum validators have chosen to withdraw cryptocurrencies from Blockchain’s staking mechanism. However, some validators attracted to Coinbase-hosted wallets are unable to access their deposits due to a lack of proper technical support and their funds are stuck.
Some users have expressed to Reddit their concerns about asset balances in Coinbase wallets that do not reflect ether staking withdrawals. However, McKenna Otterstedt, Coinbase’s product communications senior partner, confirmed that there was a “technical issue” and that the company is working on a solution.
The company shared with its users that it is looking for a solution to the issue.
