Compass Mining Will Add 25,000 ASIC Miners

US-based Bitcoin mining company Compass Mining plans to add 25,000 ASIC miners.

Compass Mining aims to increase productivity at its Texas facility by 75 megawatts, while adding 25,000 ASIC miners.

The company has been experiencing various problems lately. Having parted ways with both CEO Whit Gibbs and CFO Jodie Fisher last month to gain “stakeholder goodwill,” Compass Mining hopes to overcome the issues with the restructuring.

Following the dismissal of two executives, Compass Mining reduced its staff by 15% due to the decline in crypto markets. The new CEOs of the company, Thomaas Heller and Paul Gosker, stated that the company is growing very fast and necessary changes need to be made.

Despite all this, the company has announced that it will add 25,000 ASIC miners, including the latest versions of Antminer S19XP, Antminer S19j Pro and Whatsminer M30S++. With this addition, the plant in Grandbury, Texas will increase productivity by 75 megawatts.
