Crypto Wallet App Giddy Offers Polygon Users Gas Fee Payment Option with USDC
Crypto wallet company Giddy Polygon eliminates the need for its users to have this blockchain native token, MATIC, to pay for their transactions. Company, MATICannounced that polygon users can make gas fee payments with usdc instead.
Following this development, the CEO of the company said, “It will support even more tokens in the future.”
The new feature called “Autogas” doesn’t actually take the MATIC out of the equation. Polygon’s sidechain still requires gas payments in MATIC, just as the Ethereum network needs Ethereum. However, by trading between USDC and MATIC behind the scenes, this takes the burden of pushing MATIC away from the end user.
CEO Eric Parker made the following statement on the subject:
“As long as the user has USDC, GIDDY or MATIC in their wallet, they can exchange or send tokens at no additional cost or hassle.”
