- Blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain reported that cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io holds a total of $1.44 billion in altcoins in 6 wallets. The Shiba Inu (SHIB) accounts for 4% with $52 million.

- Cardano developer Input Global Output (IOG) has announced that the Marlowe smart contract toolkit is now live on Cardano.
- PawChain announced the release of the Public Alpha for their PawChain utilities. The PAW price appreciated after the announcement.
- Ankr has announced that it will become the main RPC (remote procedure call) provider on Chiliz Chain.
- Uphold has announced its latest offering, Uphold Ascent, a customizable over-the-counter (OTC) trading platform tailored for institutional investors focused on XRP and other altcoins.
- Binance has informed its users in Australia that it has closed AUD deposits and withdrawals via wire transfer.
Hooked Protocol announces 2023 roadmap: New staking services for altcoin investors
- Litecoin (LTC) started to outperform Bitcoin and Ethereum ahead of the third halving cycle on August 2.
- Synthetix’s community members have approved a plan that aims to get customers money to upgrade from version one (v1) to version two (v2).
- The community that runs MakerDAO has decided to purchase up to $1.28 billion in US government securities through crypto asset manager BlockTower Capital.
